Lyric Brass trumpet artist Kevin Dines, a native of Washington DC, earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet performance from The Ohio State University in 1986, studying trumpet with Dr. Richard Burkart.  While at Ohio State, he won 2nd prize in the International Trumpet Guild's Mock Orchestra competition.  

 

A proud Navy veteran, Kevin served 30 years in the US Navy with the United States Navy Band in Washington DC retiring in 2018 with the rank of Master Chief Musician.  

 

Kevin has performed with the Lyric Brass Quintet for over 20 years.  He has also performed professionally with the Columbus, Harrisburg and Jacksonville Symphony Orchestras and the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Great Falls Virginia.
