A native of Washington DC.Trumpeter Gerald Jones enjoys a versatile performance career playing classical, jazz, gospel, Christian,  R&B, Soul, and contemporary genres. Jones has performed withthe True North Symphony, Larry Graham and Graham Central Station, Billy Taylor, Peabo Bryson, Wintley Phipps, Richard Smallwood, and Take 6.

Jones studied with Wayne Cameron (Peabody Conservatory and Dave Flowers (National Symphony) and earned a B.A. in Biology from Hampton University.

Gerald currently serves as Principal Trumpet with the Frederick Symphony Orchestra, Assistant Principal Trumpet with the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Lyric Brass Quintet.
